About This Coffee: This peaberry, washed-process lot comes from Kamundu Estate in Kiambu, Kenya. Kamundu Estate is a 155-hectare coffee farm, originally established by British colonists, and now one of six estates owned and operated by Sasini, a publicly listed company with a majority Kenyan ownership.
Sasini's Commitment to Equity and Community: Sasini’s estates prioritize equity and community well-being. The workers on these estates benefit from various initiatives, including the provision of living quarters, early child education, union membership, and guaranteed wages above the minimum. In collaboration with Covoya and over 30 customers in Europe, Sasini has also invested in the local primary school, Njenga Karume, notably through the construction of a new computer lab.
