Smooth and inviting, this washed Yunnan coffee highlights notes of creamy milk chocolate, toasted hazelnut, and golden raisin. Light-to-medium roasted, it offers a balanced sweetness with a clean finish that reflects the best of China’s growing coffee tradition.

Origin: Menglian Region, Yunnan Province · Producer: Kaku Farm & Local Smallholders · Variety: Catimor · Altitude: 1,400–1,600m · Process: Washed

Impact: Led by second-generation farmer Mr. Li, Kaku Farm partners with local Wa, Akha, Dai, and Lahu communities to produce quality coffee while supporting sustainable livelihoods in Yunnan’s highlands.

Steps:

1. Invert Aeropress and ensure a good seal.

2. Wet the filter to remove paper taste.

3. Weigh 16g of coffee and grind on a medium setting.

4. Add coffee to Aeropress on scale.

5. Start timer and pour 170g water quickly.

6. Stir 3 times to incorporate grounds.

7. At 2 minutes, stir 3 more times.

8. Attach filter cap, flip onto mug, and press for 30 seconds.
